Maaz is a midwest-based lighting designer and design assistant. They are a Marquette University graduate with B.A.'s in Theatre Arts and Digital Media. Maaz is also a 2022 Cody Renard Richard scholar and is forever indebted to those advocating for rising QBIPOC theatre artists.

Maaz is slated to design Topdog/Underdog for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Last Five Years for the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Dummy in Diaspora for Jackalope Theatre, and much more this season. Additionally, Maaz serves as the Assistant Lighting and Sound Director at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. Maaz also assists in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas and will be assisting designer Lee Fiskness on The Da Vinci Code at Drury Lane Theatre.
